Background story: Peacock ore raccoons are found throughout the Valley of Fire, up through Clearwater and Alpine Ridge. They're hardworking little creatures and are great diggers.

My first doll from the raccoon sculpt and this guy wanted to be a part of my minerals and gemstone series. Peacock Ore, or Bornite is a mineral comprised a sulphide of copper and iron, it has a purplish tarnish to it, which is where the purple coat came from.

Bornite is made from a thick pile faux fur, his patterns were individually dyed by hand
I decided to give him red eyes as it compliments the tone of his coat. Originally I had given Bornite white markings under his eyes, however I changed my mind and when with typical raccoon markings.
