Fire wolves are mystical creatures, they are known to perform a ritual ceremony around a large fire with howls and snarls which can be heard from miles away, the natives call it the dance of the fire wolves and they know better than to approach during the ceremony.
In other times, fire wolves tend to live in large packs with one matriarch, most of their bodies are black but parts of their body glow from the flames inside. They can generate a huge amount of heat depending on how much they trust you, some Firecrafters are said to have befriended these wolves.
Fire wolves are generally found on the Mainland, Nanclendara, all over the Valley of Fire region.
Another of my favourite dolls to make is the wolf, I've always loved the connection with them and each piece seems to have it's own personality even though it's the same sculpt. I've had the thought of doing a fire wolf for a long time but I wanted to get the colouring and markings right, I had an image of a mostly black wolf with sections of red, yellow, orange and white. I'm revisiting the Mainland with this wolf in hopes to develop it a little more and find out anymore little secrets it's hiding. The story line came as a bit of a surprise as it't vastly different from most of my creatures story lines, looking forward to creating more story lines like the fire wolf.
Kaen has a resin face and paws that were cast from an original sculpture hand crafted by me. Her body is made from thick faux fur which was designed and sewn by me, she has a wire armature inside making her fully poseable, her face was furred by hand and painted in acrylic paints.
Kaen is approximately 35 x 18cm head to tail.
