Fire element kittens are a very cheeky and unpredictable creatures, one minute they will be loving and cuddly and the next they will happily bite your hand in a hyperactive play fit. These kittens live in a very large society and communicate with little chatters and squeaks which the locals say sound like a popping fire. Their cheeks and tails boast a flame, as kittens they tend to loose control quite often, but as they mature they will gain full control of the intensity and size of the flames. They learn skills by play fighting with other kittens, often using their tails a sticks to whack the other kitten, this is also how they hunt. Their diet mainly consists on insects and small creatures, using their tail to stun and singe their food.
Fire element kittens are very fast creatures and can been seen running around the Red Tribal Lands in Cry India. Each tribal land seems to have their own elemental creature specific to that region.
The first of the elemental creatures specific to Cry India and I decided to go with my favourite element which is fire. I loved the idea of a fire element kitten and the cheeky fiery nature of kittens themselves. I didn't want the whole kitten to be a classic orange flame colour, instead I wanted small elements of the kitten to have a flame, hence the tail and the cheeks. I have this really awesome faux fur that looks exactly like fire and behaves in the same sort of way, so it was perfect to use for the fire element creature. I also decided to go with the black as the main colour as I find the orange stand out a little more and makes more of a statement.
Netsu has a resin face and paws that were cast from an original sculpture hand crafted by me, she also has glass eye which were cast in the resin. Her body is made from thick faux fur which was designed and sewn by me, she has a wire armature inside making her fully poseable, her face was furred by hand and painted in acrylic paints.
Netsu is approximately 30 x 18cm head to tail.
