Inside Iwa the Black River Bunny

Black River Bunnies are found all throughout the Black Tribal Lands, Ork, but mainly reside in the settlement of Black River. They love to hide among rocks along the river bed, their black and white speckled coats are the perfect camouflage for the volcanic rocks found throughout Ork. Their coats are never the same and each pattern is unique to the individual bunny much like our own fingerprint.

These bunnies tend to make their dens along the riverbed as their diet minerals and rough grasses. They get these minerals by licking the volcanic rocks along the river and drinking the river water.

My second doll from my new bunny sculpt and I wanted to do a black and white patterned bunny. I've always loved bunnies with these patterns and I had the perfect faux fur to make it. This time I made the doll with painted eyes as the last one had glass, I wanted to see what the differences were between the two eyes. I have to say I think I like the glass eye look a little more than the painted as it looks a little more realistic, so I think I'll try and include my dolls to have glass eyes more often now.

Iwa has a resin face and paws that were cast from an original sculpture hand crafted by me. Her body is made from thick faux fur which was designed and sewn by me, she has a wire armature inside making her fully poseable, her face was furred by hand and painted in acrylic paints.

Iwa is approximately 20 x 18cm head to tail.

Iwa will be up for grabs in my shop this Friday between 8-9am AEST. Alternatively you can check me out on my social media pages below. Also check out my Society6 and Redbubble shop for prints and more.
